Alice On A Mushroom
Jim Salvati
Giclee on canvas

“Alice in Wonderland” is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney and based on the “Alice” books by Lewis Carroll and was the 13th of Disney’s animated features.

Known for her daydreaming, one July afternoon Alice spots a waistcoat-wearing White Rabbit passing by, exclaiming that he is “late for an important date”. She gives chase and follows him into a rabbit hole, falls into a large furnished hole, and thus begins the adventures of Alice in Wonderland. It is one of Disney's greatest animated classics and one of the biggest cult classics in the animation medium.

An anniversary edition from Disney Fine Art of only 20 prints by Jim Salvati celebrating the world of Alice in Wonderland.(This is print #2.) The limited 20 copy run makes having one of these images a unique experience. Numbered and signed by Jim Salvati.

Giclee edition on canvas, edition of ONLY 20 published

For over 20 years artist Jim Salvati has had a message for his students at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena: Even “normal people” can make it in the art world. He tells his students that you don't have to be extremely talented to make it. You can make it in life on passion and determination.

Salvati has "made it" in the art world himself. He's been a prolific artist for movie studios and theaters with a client list including Disney, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Radio City Music Hall. He was the master illustrator and conceptual artist behind many of the memorable images and associated with the “Harry Potter” film series.

In his Disney art, he thinks it's important to show who a person or character is and the most interesting part of their life -- the part that is bold and has guts. Character and boldness can be observed in the scenes that Salvati depicts. They are often not only a defining moment of a film, but usually the most emotionally charged and sometimes heartbreaking ones. Bambi alone in the woods, the Huntsman with Snow White, and Scar leaving Simba in the canyon, are all turning points in their story when the main character had to show their "guts" or courage.
