CHARLES SCHULZ - "Peanuts" World
To see ourselves, and to laugh too

For 50 years Charles Schulz imagined, sketched, inked and hand lettered his “Peanuts” newspaper comic strip without the help of a staff. He also was the first cartoonist to use the human condition rather than adventure and action in a comic strip. Schulz had an extraordinary ability to keep it simple and tap into genuine daily human interactions with carefully chosen words and sparse line art.

Schulz's characters became beloved icons to 355 million readers worldwide. In his drawings, inhabited only by kids, he was able to capture an unmistakable facial expression with only a couple of perfect pen lines.

Over the years Schulz’s art and strip storyline evolved from simple newsprint to TV screens to Broadway stage and finally to the cinematic big screen. This creativity came to an unexpected end in 2000 with the artist’s death. It was Charles Schulz’s and his family’s decision that the creation of new Peanuts strips would end with his passing. Reruns of older strips, although, are still widely published.

Now Peanuts Worldwide LLC has granted unprecedented access to the artist’s studio archives. The result is an exploration of heritage and nostalgia beautifully represented by a collection of iconic Fine Art editions. Each image panel comes directly from a Charles Schulz iconic work.
