The Story of An Eagle is a masterful, once in a lifetime achievement by famed nature painter Mario Fernandez. In this five-piece ensemble, Fernandez shows the viewer the life of an eagle, from “The Nest” where life begins to the exhilarating “First Flight” to capturing the emotion of the “Courtship Renewed” then the tender commitment of “The Caress” and finally to the embodiment of the dreams and aspirations of the American nation, “Symbol of a Nation.”
Seldom is a complete, unexhibited set of “The Story of An Eagle” available on the market. This Fernandez suite includes four works on paper and one bronze for a handsome wall display as exhibited above. The set is presented as exquisite mixed media such as collotype, a bronze, and gold/silver metallic embossed surfaces.
