For over two decades Betty Wells was America’s storyteller whose artwork brought the most important American trials, congressional proceedings, and other closed-to-cameras events into our living rooms via NBC television news shows. As sketch artist for NBC News from 1974-1995, she covered the U.S. Supreme Court, historic courtroom trials, and Congressional events where cameras were not allowed.
