Unlike motion pictures, television programs, or stage plays a daily cartoon is the only medium where a solitary person writes, produces, and stages an entire story without the help of a large production crew – all in three or four small panels! Few cartoonists saved their original artwork at the time of publication making the surviving originals of this classic Americana art form most collectible.
