Bringing artwork from museums to your home
Around the world great museums collect, preserve, and display the foremost works of art by the finest artists for future generations to see and enjoy. The Art-cade’s Masterworks Page features reproductions of paintings by celebrated American artists found in some of the most prestigious art collections in the country.

Thanks to the marvels of modern image reproduction technology, copies of Masterworks recreated on canvas are so faithful to the museum original that it is often impossible for even the trained eye to tell the difference. Furthermore, advancement in the quality of inks insures that these reproductions can be passed from generation to generation even while being displayed and enjoyed in home or office.
Also offered in the Museum Masterworks Webportfolio are “original works” of art created by time-honored artistic methods including stone lithography and serigraphy (once called silk screening). Experts consider these works of art originals because each copy is inked and pulled by the artist and his printer one color at a time, one print at a time, and every final copy fashioned is subject to all the variables that can occur while being created. No two copies are ever exactly the same – each is an original. In addition, the limited quantities produced increase the value to the art collector.
